Herman's Hermits - Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter
"a live performance from 1965 - the song pushed the Hermits to rival The Beatles in 1965 as the #1 pop act in America. The song was never intended to be released as a single because Peter Noone (Herman) was exaggerating his accent and they were basically just goofing around. At the time, it was the fastest selling single in history and was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards. Note guitarist Keith Hopwood has a rag stuffed under his guitar strings to mute them, giving the song it's distinctive sound."
