Righteous Bros - You're My Soul and My Heart's Inspiration
"Live from 1966 - a great performance of the #1 hit by "blue-eyed soul" masters Bill Medley (bass) and Bobby Hatfield (tenor). Their vocal talent and emotive range is beautifully showcased on this song."

Tommy James & the Shondells - Mony Mony
"Went to #3 in the USA and #1 in the UK in 1968. Probably the song most identified with the band. The hook in the song is said to have been inspired by James' view of a MONY sign atop the Mutual of New York Building in the New York City skyline from his Manhattan apartment."

NEW SONG - Beach Boys - That's Why God Made The Radio
"The Beach Boys recently unveiled a clip of "That's Why God Made the Radio," the first single off their reunion album, which is due to hit shelves this summer 2012. The group split in the late 1990s and toured in separate camps, occasionally firing off nasty lawsuits at each other. Last year, they decided to put the acrimony behind them and reunite for a tour. They've spent the last few months at a Los Angeles studio working on their new album."

The Turtles - Elenore
"Singers Mark Volman & Howard Kaplan said this 1968 song was meant as a parody of their earlier smash hit "Happy Together". The Turtles were trying to get their record company to allow them to diversify their music, like the other innovative groups of the 60's. The lyrics are cliched and repetitive, but unfortunately for The Turtles, the production values and vocals were so excellent, the song became a hit."

Gary Lewis & The Playboys - Just My Style
"very rare B&W video of Gary Lewis & The Playboys performing live. The pop-dance group was one of the first American 60's bands to challenge the British invasion. They had 7 top ten singles before Lewis was drafted into the Army. And if you didn't know, dad was comedian Jerry Lewis..."

The Monkees "Daydream Believer"
""Daydream Believer" is a song composed by John Stewart shortly before he left the Kingston Trio. The song was originally recorded by The Monkees, with the late Davy Jones singing lead vocals. The single hit the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1967, remaining there for four weeks, and peaked at number five in the UK Singles Chart. It was The Monkees' last number one hit in the U.S."

The Mamas & Papas - California Dreamin'
"a nice little video composite of the Mamas & Papas performing their legendary, signature song. Did you know Cass Elliot could do the shuffle so well? The song was first released in 1965 and is #89 on the Greatest Songs of All Time list."
